Dojo

A Dojo is the traditional name for a martial arts training area. While you are in a dojo you are expected to follow the appropriate protocols and etiquette.

Traditionally you should remove your footwear before entering the dojo and rei (bow) at the door as you enter.

If you are late you should wait at the side of the room until you are acknowledged by the senior instructor.
